The British Grand Prix is a sellout every year, as often up to half the cars on the grid are entered by British teams and British drivers. A successful local driver certainly adds to the already overcharged atmosphere, but is never guaranteed. In a typical English summer packed with top-class sporting activity, the British Grand Prix stands out as an event of national importance.
