In 2019, in a new date on the PGA Calendar, The 101st PGA Championship will be held at the challenging Bethpage Black golf course in scenic Bethpage State Park, Farmngadle, NY. In 2002, the Black Course became the first publicly owned and operated course to host the U.S. Open, which returned in 2009. Bethpage Black also hosted The Barclays, a FedEx Cup Playoff event, in 2012 and 2016, and is scheduled to host again in 2021 and 2027, as well as The Ryder Cup in 2024.

Bethpage Black opened in 1936, designed by noted golf architect A.W. Tillinghast, who also designed its Blue and Red Courses.
