The Open returns to The Old Course at St. Andrews for the 31st time, for it's 155th competition. To ensure the links continue to challenge modern professionals, the R&A and St Andrews Links Trust have implemented a series of course changes ahead of the 2027 championship. Several tees have been pushed back on the 5th, 6th, 7th, 10th, 11th, and 16th holes, adding 132 yards and taking the overall course layout to a championship length of 7,445 yards.
