Just 10 years after Pebble Beach opened, it hosted, the 1929 U.S. Amateur, and now the USGA has announced that Pebble Beach will host 10 future U.S. Open Championships through 2048. In 1972 Pebble Beach became the first public course to host a U.S. Open Championship. 2027 will be the 7th U.S. Open played at Pebble Beach.
